Timothy Baldwin Death, Obituary – Timothy Baldwin, an IU professor, passed away on Monday at the age of 64. He was one of the professors who had been at the Kelley School of Business the longest, having started there in 1987. Baldwin is remembered as a role model for others by community members, students, and coworkers. He was someone who was constantly vivacious and seeking to unite people. Numerous courses at the institution were taught by Baldwin, including “Organization Leadership and Change” and “Managing and Behavior in Organizations.”
“It is a very sad day for the department,” Dan Li, the chairperson of the management and entrepreneurship department, said in a statement sent to the Indiana Daily Student. “Tim was a beloved colleague and friend and positively affected the lives of so many faculty, students, and staff over his 35 years of devoted service. He’s always, always, been there to give, to support, and to lead. The world is a dimmer place without this amazing person.”
Baldwin co-authored a number of books, including “Improving Transfer Systems in Organizations” and “Developing Management Skills: What Great Managers Know and Do.” Throughout his career, he has received numerous honors, including the Dow Innovation in Teaching Fellowship, the FACET All-University Teaching Award, and the Eli Lilly Alumni Teaching Award.
