Queens Subway Shooting – Police reported that a 15-year-old boy was found shot at a Queens subway station on Friday and later died. According to the NYPD, the teenager was discovered hurt at the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue station around 3:45 p.m. Police claimed the teen passed away as a result of his injuries despite being in critical condition at the hospital. It was unclear whether the gunshot took place on the platform or inside a train. Police were unable to immediately provide suspect information.
Some of the local subway services have been impacted by the shooting. The MTA reports that there are no A trains operating in either direction between Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue and Broad Channel.
