‘Gentle Giant’ Described As The Victim Of The Flaxmere Homicide Investigation

According to family, the man whose passing today prompted a Flaxmere homicide investigation was a “gentle giant.” At about 11.45 p.m. yesterday, two persons were discovered injured outside of an address, so police were called to Ramsey Crescent in Flaxmere. A man died there; his family has since recognized him as Darcy Strickland. A second person was injured severely and rushed to the hospital. In a message to 1News, a family representative paid respect to Strickland.

The statement continues, “The family is stunned to its very core by the news, which came out of the blue.” “A variety of emotions, including hurt, despair, and rage, are present. “He was a gentle giant who cherished time spent with his family, particularly his nieces and nephews. “We pray that the people responsible are found and held accountable for their horrific actions, so our family can have some form of closure, even though they can never give us back the brother we love.”

Police say investigators are “working to establish the circumstances of what has occurred and how the pair came to be injured”. A scene examination will take place at the property today.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 105 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
