Gary Levari Death, Obituary – On Monday, October 10th, 2022, Vineland resident Gary A. Levari, Sr., 71, passed away. He was a lifelong resident of Vineland and the son of the late Peter and Gloria Levari. He owned and ran Levari farms for a number of years while working for the Levari Oil Company. Later, it wasn’t unusual to see him driving a tractor or delivering deliveries to nearby farmers. He had a profound affection for vintage automobiles, John Wayne films, and Mandevilla flowers. He spent a lot of time caring for the flowers on his patio, which he took great interest in. He didn’t belong to many of the town’s well-known clubs, but he didn’t have to.
Being familiar with Gary Levari was like being a member of a club that was in a league of its own, where the door was always open, the beer was always cold, and the stories were always epic. Anyone who knew him will miss him dearly because of the incredible sense of family and community that surrounded him. He was a singular force of nature who combined myth and legend with man.
He is survived by his son; Gary Levari Jr, two daughters; Kimberly Levari and Katie Levari-Suchanoff (Greg); his two sisters Barbara L Jargowsky (Dale) and Linda McDaniel (Michael); and his brother David Levari. He is predeceased by his parents; Peter and Gloria Levari and his brother; Dennis Levari. A funeral home visitation will be held on Sunday evening, October 16th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ, and at the CHURCH on Monday morning, October 17th from 9:45 am to 10:45 am followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am from Saint Padre Pio Parish – Church Of St. Mary’s, 736 Union Road, Vineland.
