The pickup truck driver who was killed in the I-95 collision that Action News Jax originally reported earlier has been confirmed deceased by the Florida Highway Patrol. According to the FHP investigation, the pickup truck drifted onto the grass and across the southbound lanes for an undisclosed cause. The truck kept going into the woods until it ran into a tree at the front.
The accident-related injuries that the driver sustained caused his death. I-95’s southbound lanes near State Road 16 have been cleared, and regular traffic is now moving.
