Charles Franson Death- At his residence in Banner Elk, on November 3rd, Charles J. Franson passed away.
According to one of Charles children, he and my mother came to Banner Elk in 2009 to live permanently in the house that had served as their vacation home since 1991 when he retired from the practice of law in Jacksonville at the age of 77.
My mother then assisted me in opening the Consignment Cottage. Until her death at the end of 2010, she coworked with me at the shop. From 2012 until 2020, Dad worked with us and was affectionately referred to as Chuck. He greeted everyone who entered and spoke with them.
