71st high school shooting today: Seventy-First Active shooter? 2 Fayetteville schools on code red lockdown
Police officers on Friday responded to a report of shots fired at Seventy-First Classical Middle School and Seventy-First High School but confirmed there was no active shooter.
The middle school and high school are located together at 6764 Raeford Road.
Both schools were on a code red lockdown around 9:15 a.m.
At 10 a.m., officials said there is no active threat or shooter, but police are investigating the 911 call, which Sheriff Ennis Wright told WRAL News was called in by a female student.
The student was taken into custody for questioning, but no charges were announced.
