According to a statement from the Idaho State Police, a single-vehicle collision on I-90 close to Couer d’Alene on Thursday resulted in the death of one man (ISP). A 52-year-old Coeur d’Alene resident was driving a westbound Toyota Tundra around milepost 11 when he veered off the road and collided with a jersey barrier by the side of the road.
The Tundra was blocking the left westbound lane when it stopped moving on the barrier, claims ISP. A seatbelt was fastened around the driver. When he arrived at Kootenai Health, he was declared dead.
The proxies were informed. For almost 90 minutes, the road was closed so that emergency personnel could launch a preliminary inquiry.
